SPRINGFIELD - Cleta I. Goacher, 66, of Springfield passed away Monday, March 29, 2010, at St. John's Hospice.
She was born March 6, 1944, in Springfield, to Jessie Simeon and Floy P. (Rhodes) Hutchens. She married John H. Goacher in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Goacher worked as a supervisor for IL Department of Revenue for 20 years. She most recently for worked for Burns Security as a security guard at the IL Appellate Courts. She loved to bake, play solitaire and go to river boat casinos.
She is survived by her husband, John; four sons, John (Starleen) Raby of Albany, NY, Michael (Shawn) Goacher and Richard (Brenda) Goacher both of Springfield, and Thomas Goacher of Chicago; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth and Alberta; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, with Pastor G. Leroy Donathan officiating. Burial will follow Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Cleta I. Goacher c/o Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.

Our sympathy to the family of Irene, she was a great gal and a lot of fun to be around. We will remember all the good times we had at Susie and Bill Hutchens house. We know she is at peace and will be reunited with all her family that she dearly loved.
