Colleen TINSLEY Obituary
Colleen "Wigi" Tinsley
SPRINGFIELD - Colleen "Wigi" Tinsley, 61, died on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born March 17, 1953, to Philip C. and Viola M. Wilson. She married John M. Tinsley on Feb. 5, 1974, in Lincoln, Ill., and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2012.
Survivors include four children, Tabetha (husband, Brian) Oster, Eric Tinsley, Keith Tinsley, and Seth Tinsley, all of Springfield; two brothers, Glenn Henderson of Athens, Ill., and Kevin (wife, Jackie) Clower of San Diego, Calif.; one aunt, Herta Ramey of Springfield; three grandchildren, Shelby, Ellie, and Dillon; and several uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Colleen worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in central Illinois for many years. She enjoyed painting, gardening, her dogs, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of Colleen's life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 17, at the V.F.W. Post 10302, 2349 Stockyard Road, Springfield from 12 p.m.-4 p.m.

I met Ms Tinakey when I was in nursing school with her daughter Tabitha. She was a wonderful funny lady. My own other died a month before Ms Tinakey and this memory will always be relevant. R.I.P.

I am so sorry for you loss, my sincere condolences to all of you. I have so memories of Wigi and my mom at the NSPOA campground... my mom Dee Dee loved her Wigi so much....now they can enjoy eachother and sing Amazing Grace..... I still have the pin your mom made for all of us for St Patrick's days years ago... I even put in my mom casket....and got to keep it at the end....memories make things better.....
