CARLINVILLE - Dixie D. Lambert, 62, of Carlinville died Monday, May 28, 2007.
She was born Oct. 19, 1944, in Carlinville, the daughter of Ansel Dowland and Helen Meyers Dowland Keele.
She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.
Surviving are her mother, Helen Keele of Carlinville; five children, Jim Stults (fiancee, Lisa Harb) of Seven Hills, Ohio, Cindy Stover (Keith), Michelle Lambert and Mike Lambert, all of Carlinville, and Marsha Lambert (companion, Nick Schott) of Chesterfield; seven grandchildren; brother, Derel Dowland (Jean) of Chesterfield; and sister, Deana Riemann (Darrin) of Litchfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, with Order of the Eastern Star Rites at 8 p.m. Services will be there at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007. Burial will be in Chesterfield Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.

i remember dixie for awhile me and marsha was friends in school. then i had to play darts against dixie and she was alot of fun we will miss her at darts.sorry to hear about this.

I am sorry for your loss.... I several years ago played darts with your mom and she was a very fun and outgoing woman.. She is going to be missed especially in the morning hours of
