Paula, Peggy, Phil and families; Rodney and I have very fond memories of both of your parents. They were the kind of neighbors that everyone would want; friendly, caring and yet did not try to interfere. Rodney enjoyed working with your mom and we appreciated the fact that we could depend on Peggy to babysit with Amy and Travis so many years ago. Your Mom was a genuine person whom we are both saddened by her death and proud to say we knew her. Blessings, Rodney and Bev Matthews

Paula, Phil and Peggy: I was so surprised to read of your Mom's passing. Paula, I will never forget she was the one that took us 8th Grade Cheerleaders to pick out our uniforms. Even purple shoestrings! She was a delightful character to be around, one that will always be vivid in memory. I'll never forget her "HI how are YA?" May you each have a light of her happiness in your hearts.

Paula, Phil, Peggy, & Kraig, Sorry to hear about your mom's death. She was a wonderful lady. Your parents were two of my favorite people, always happy, cheerful, and supportive. Take comfort in knowing that they are now together again. Our thoughts are with you.

Blessings to all of Dorothy's family.
I will always remember Dorothy's laugh and the fun times we had together in our post high school years. Dorothy and I lived a block apart on Baker Street in Gillespie. My husband and I also knew Corky and thought he was the best.
The last time I saw Dorothy was a few years ago in Springfield at Famous Barr. At that time she was sitting down resting before shopping more. She mentioned she was having breathing problems but I did not know that she became ill later.
I was saddened today as I read the paper and will always remember her as a great person who loved having fun, loved life, and most of all, loved Corky and her family more than life itself.
