John-We were so sorry to read about Gay's passing. We always enjoyed visiting with her at Aunt Veda's birthday parties. Gay was a lovely person with a great smile.

Gay was one of the sweetest, most caring ladies I have ever known.
Her smile lit up a room, and she would share stories that revealed
her wonderful sense of humor. I had the pleasure of working with
Gay for several years. I quickly learned she was very bright and an
excellent writer. Although I moved from Springfield, she continued
to send me her Christmas letter. In her humorous writing style, she
would share stories of her grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

Jennifer, Julie, and your families - My deepest sympathy to all of you for your great loss. Gay was so special. She and your grandparents invited me over for dinner more times than I can count. I have such good memories of your family. Thoughts, prayers, love, and hugs to all of you. She will be greatly missed.

My heart aches at the lose of my best friend. I have so many wonderful memories of times we shared together. Gay was such a loving and thoughtful person. She loved doing things for others. I have missed our phone calls, text messages and long lunches visiting and catching up. I have especially missed the hours of companionship we shared while working together preparing food for her daughter's graduations, bridal showers, baby showers and the parties she loved to host. I will continue to miss her for the rest of my life. Rest in peace my dear friend.
