Harold Eugene LeMasters
SPRINGFIELD - Harold Eugene LeMasters, 84, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012, at St. John's Hospice.
He was born January 11, 1928, to Oscar and Julia (Klimek) LeMasters, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Raymond LeMasters and sisters, Flora Duffy and Delores Davenport. He married Rosemary Haugh on October 5, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in New Berlin.
Harold was a US Navy veteran. He retired from C &I M Railroad in 1981 after 32 years of service in the railroad industry.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; two sons, Bill LeMasters and Tom (Diana) LeMasters, both of Springfield; a daughter, Deb Martin of Petersburg; 5 grandchildren, Brad and Matt LeMasters, JD and Mike Martin and Shelley Lamantia; 2 great-grandchildren, Tory and Ryan Lamantia; a brother Oscar (Dorothy) LeMasters of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
