Heidi Ann Hopper
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Heidi Ann Hopper, 54, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 at her residence.
She was born June 3, 1959, in Springfield the daughter of Thomas and Alice Antonacci Rogers.
Heidi was a graduate of Riverton High School Class of 1977. She had one of the toughest jobs as a stay-at-home mom. She was always involved with what her kids were doing. Once they were off to school, she worked at McFarland Mental Health Center for 15 years.
Heidi knew what she wanted and when she wanted it; and, if anyone else thought otherwise, boy would she let you know it wasn't to her liking. Heidi would be the first to help and give what she could. Her heart was a 100 times bigger than her mind always allowed. Holidays and home-cooked meals were her specialty. Anyone who experienced either one knew it was from her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Hopper; and youngest daughter, Laura Hopper.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara Hopper of Springfield; sister, Angie (Rick) Judge of Riverton; brother, Thomas Rogers of Miami, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Seth Schnautz officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
A gathering for friends and family will take place at the Elks Club after the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal Protective League.
