Henry Manci Obituary
Springfield, IL—Henry R. Manci, 67, of Springfield, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Heritage Health Hospice. He was born February 19, 1951 in Springfield, to Angelo and Mary Ann Cardoni Manci, Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa A. Huffstedtler of Springfield and Karen M. Calufetti of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Evan and Elise Huffstedtler of Springfield and Dominic Calufetti of Orlando, FL; one brother Angelo Manci, of Springfield; one niece; two nephews and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Henry was a member of Church of the Little Flower. He was a 1969 graduate of Griffin High School. He earned an Associate Degree from Springfield College in Illinois. For twenty-seven years he did the 1450 radio sports stats for SHG football. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Yankee fan.
He worked in sales and delivery for E & F Distributing before retiring and then owned and operated Sandbar Tavern and the Parkway Pub.
Memorial Gathering: 9 am – 12 pm, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Church of the Little Flower.
Memorial Mass: 12 pm, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Church of the Little Flower with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Little Flower School or the SHG football program.

I am so sorry about your loss. Henry was a dear old friend. I last spoke with him on Monday the 16th and he was so upbeat about going to heaven. We spoke about old times and our trip to New Orleans.
Henry told me the next beer he would have would be with my brother Timmy in heaven! May he Rest In Peace.

All of us at Neuhoff Media Springfield including Sports Radio 1450 send you our sympathy on Henry's passing - way too soon.
We were the lucky ones to have met Henry back in the early '90's when we started broadcasting the SHG Football Games on Sports Radio 1450 and for the next 27 years we had a ball with Henry on the sidelines home and away. Oh how he loved getting on the air with Sam - what a fun time we all had.
Not to mention all the Friday nights some of us spent out at the Sand Bar eating and chatting with Henry.
Cherish your memories of a kind, caring Dad and Grandfather. Fly with the angels, Henry Manci!
