Jon R. Litherland
PLEASANT PLAINS, IL - Jon R. Litherland, 71, of Pleasant Plains, died Monday, March 16, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center.
Jon was born May 17, 1943, in Springfield, the son of Kenneth R. and Eleanor Ruth Grider Litherland. He married Sondra Skaggs on March 6, 1982, in Pleasant Plains.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during Vietnam. Jon started working as a roofer and later owned his own company as a private contractor. He was a member of Brea Baptist Church in Chandlerville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra of Pleasant Plains; stepson, Todd (Lynn) Kahbeah of Springfield; brother, George (Kelly) Litherland; two grandchildren, Nicole Richards and Kylee Kahbeah; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015, at Pleasant Plains Cemetery with the Rev. Duane Turley officiating.
