WASILLA, Alaska - Joshua Aaron Brown, 29, of Wasilla, Alaska, formerly of Lincoln, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, as a result of a single-vehicle accident in Wasilla.
He was born June 20, 1979, in Sedalia, Mo., the son of Franklin and Judy Schrage Brown. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Ruth Schrage, and paternal grandfather, Ronald Leon Brown.
While living in Lincoln, Josh worked at Saint-Gobain Containers. Josh was of the Christian faith. He attended Calvary Academy and Pleasant Plains High School, graduating in 1998. He was an avid sports fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and St. Louis Cardinals. Josh loved to watch a close game.
Surviving are his father of Lincoln; his mother of Wasilla; two sisters, Jaclyn (Alex Kincade) Brown of St. Louis and Janae Brown of Wasilla; maternal grandfather, Lester Schrage of Edina, Mo.; paternal grandmother, Vesta Brown of Macon, Mo.; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the United Methodist Church, 200 S. Main St. in Edina, Mo., with Dr. Jeffrey Brown officiating. In honor of Josh, the family would like everyone to wear their favorite Cardinals or Steelers apparel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Life Center Organ Donation or Tony LaRussa's ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation).

I have so many great memories of you Josh! You were always so fun and full of life-I can't believe you're gone, but I know you're in a better place. You were a special person in my life, and the lives of many-I know you will be greatly missed.

i will never forget you josh, you were a great fun part of our school years. i was happy to hear you moving on to everything you wanted to and im so sorry you had to leave us like this. it wasnt suppose to be like this. you and pat will keep everyone on their toes where ever you are now. you always made us laugh and was a good guy. i'll never forget you man. your great!
