Kenneth Tibbs
Kenneth C. Tibbs, 48, of Petersburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 12:08 am at his residence. He was born on November 6, 1962 in Aurora, Colorado to John and Deloris Padgett Tibbs. He married Diane Cox on January 16, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Petersburg; daughter, Kelsey Tibbs of Petersburg; two stepdaughters, Amanda (Shane) Bryant of Athens, and Abbie Daugherty of Petersburg; his parents, John and Deloris Tibbs of Petersburg; brother, John (Lora) Tibbs of Petersburg; sister, Cindy Tibbs of Springfield; and three step grandchildren, Owen Smith of Petersburg, Travis Bryant, and Lilly Bryant, both of Athens.
Mr. Tibbs worked for Eaton Industries. He was a member of Petersburg Church of Christ and loved NASCAR. He graduated from PORTA High School in 1981.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Pastor Joshua Sherif will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Petersburg Church of Christ or St. John's Hospice.

So sorry for the loss of Ken. He was my supervisor at Eaton in Petersburg. He was a very good friend also. He had a heart of gold. Never got to say goodbye when he left for Arkansas. Til we meet again, friend.
