Frances Meyer

MACOMB - Mable Frances Meyer, 92, of Macomb, formerly of Springfield, passed away on April 30, 2012 at McDonough Community Hospital in Macomb.

Mable was born on March 31, 1920 in Springfield the daughter of John and Mary Smith Coy. She married Joseph Carl Meyer in September 1941; he preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ray Coy.

Mable attended Springfield High School and Illinois State University and worked at Horace Mann Insurance Company as a Claims Adjuster.

She is survived by two children, Michael (Sharon) Meyer of Springfield and Karen Greathouse of Macomb; three grandchildren, Michelle, Sarah and Jamie; and two great grandchildren, Timothy and Grace.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Reverend Bob Jallas celebrant. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association.

Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home, 530 N. 5th St. Springfield, IL is in charge of arrangements.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a dear friend of my mother in law, Dorothy Albright. I remember her fondly and know she will be missed. My sincerest condolences.
