Mary E. Blome
STONINGTON, IL - Mary E. Blome, 80, of Stonington, IL died at 9:21 am Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.
She was born December 18, 1932 in Lincoln, IL the daughter of Orval A. and Edith E. Humphrey Shipp. On September 11, 1953 she married Harry Junior Blome at the First Baptist Church in Taylorville. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stonington, member of the Oxford Sheep Association where she was secretary for 21 years, and a member of John A. Morrison Appellation Group. She formerly owned Mary's County Styling Beauty Salon.
Surviving are her husband, Harry Blome, of Stonington, sons: Gary Blome and wife Judy of Decatur, IL and Terry Blome and wife Lori of Pleasant Plaines, IL. Grandchildren: Dustin Blome and wife Kelly of Benton, AR, Trevor Blome of Springfield, Aaron Blome and wife Amy of Moline, Tiffany Smith and husband Jason of Pleasant Plaines, Ashley Blome of Decatur, Jacob Blome and fiancée Stacia McClure of Minier, IL, Evan Rollins of Pleasant Plaines, Kayla Rollins of St. Pete Beach, FL and Alex Blome of Decatur. There are 9 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Robert Shipp.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday January 29 at First Baptist Church in Stonington with Dr. William Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7 pm Monday at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville.
