ROCHESTER, IL – 31-year-old Matthew Alan Grady died at his home on Monday, January 25, 2016, at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Matthew was born December 9, 1984, to loving parents, Donna Ozellis-Grady and Timothy Joseph Grady. Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Joseph Grady; grandparents Meri and Edmund Grady, Joseph and Ardella Ozellis; aunt, Paula Nation and cousin, Billy Nation.
Matthew graduated from Springfield Public Schools and was employed in the construction field. As a child Matthew enjoyed building and launching rockets with his father. He had the entire micro-machine city. He enjoyed video games and taking trips and traveling with his parents. Matthew enjoyed raising German Shepherds, volunteering and assisting individuals with visual impairment and working on the PBS fund drive. As we all are, Matthew was a work in progress. The future chapters of his life will remain unwritten due to the untimely manner in which he died. Life can be short. Please remember to tell your family how much you love them.
Matthew is survived by his mother Donna Ozellis-Grady, uncles: Pat (Elizabeth), Gary (Bonnie), aunts: Mary Jo, Molly (John), Mary Carole "Gidget" (Glen) and numerous cousins.

Donna I was so sad to hear of the tragic death of Matthew. I know it is all you can do to hold your life together now. Just wanted to let you know Rodney and have been thinking of you. I remember Matt and Melissa playing in the pool in the nineties. That was the last time I saw you and him:(. God bless you at this time. Draw on his strength. Love Debbie king

Donna, you had been on my mind lately - I just learned about your son today. I am so sorry, but I have thought of you in the last couple weeks because you used to love "Patches" the old song that was popular when we were in 6th grade and you would ask me to sing it. Not sure why. Can't believe this heartbreaking news about your son. I pray that you will be blessed with many happy memories. I'm so sorry. Joyce Anderson Wheeler
