Merrill Lee Travis
SPRINGFIELD - Merrill Lee Travis, 61, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010, at his residence.
Merrill was born on January 2, 1949 in Billings, Montana, the son of Mary (Melton) and James Travis.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lina Travis, of Springfield; daughter, Christy Gerst, Esq. of Chicago; son Hannibal Travis, Esq. of Miami, FL; brother James Travis of Silver Springs, MD; granddaughter Travis Audrey Gerst, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN. Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Rochester, IL was in charge of arrangements.
