Michelle Qualey Barnard
HUNTERSVILLE, NC - Michelle Qualey Barnard, 38, died May 19, 2014, at her home in Huntersville, N.C.
She was born March 15, 1976, in Maine to Eloise Qualey. She was a labor and delivery nurse at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Thomas Michael "Mike" Barnard, V of Huntersville, and her son, Caleb; brothers, Joseph of Dexter, Maine and Shane Qualey of Bangor, Maine; nephews, Joseph Aaron and Lucas Qualey and Nicholas Hatley; and niece, Nadia Hatley.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 23 at Christ Community Church, the Rev. Chris Dortch officiating. Visitation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Community Church, 16301 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078 or the Autism Society, 8420 University Executive Park Dr., Ste. 810, Charlotte, NC 28262.

Michelle was an amazing mother and an amazing woman. She was always spunky and full of joy and life. She helped my son and myself through so many challenges. I'm so sorry and heartbroken to hear about Michelle. I know there are no words that I or anyone can say that can ease the pain you must be going through. I'm sorry I didn't know her after she grew up but I want you to know that no matter how much time passes or whether we haven't had contact- you will always be family and in my thoughts and prayers.
