Nina Mary Gairani
SPRINGFIELD - Nina Mary Gairani, 41, of Springfield died at 5:15 am, Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at St. John's Hospice. She was born November 23, 1968 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Sally James Andrews. She married Matt Gairani on November 23, 1993. Preceding her in death are her father; one aunt, Katie Klein and grandparents, Vivian Schuecking Andrews and James William Andrews.
Nina is survived by her husband, Matt; mother, Sally James Andrews; a son, Nicholas and a daughter, Andrea, all of Springfield. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in law; Victor (Cheryl) Gairani of St. Charles, MO, Donna (Kent) Jacobs of Springfield, Andrew (Andrea) Gairani of Naperville, Rhett (Megumi) Gairani of Springfield, and Cecelia Gairani of Springfield; mother and father-in-law, Victor and Kathlyn Gairani of Springfield; one uncle, Guy B. Andrews of Anaheim, CA; several nieces, nephews and two cousins, Christine Smith and Paul Michael Klein.
Nina was a member of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and a former member of the Evening Republican Club. She attended Lincoln Land Community College, enjoyed listening to Jazz, loved animals and enjoyed trying everything once. Nina was a homemaker.
Visitation: 4 - 7p.m., Friday, October 8, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
Funeral Mass: 11 am, Saturday October 9, 2010 at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Reverend Peter Harman officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Ridge Chapel Mausoleum.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the Charity of Donor's Choice.

Matt, Nick and Andrea I am so sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with you.
To 9...You are loved and will be remembered. I've known you since before we were teens, have lost touch off and on through the years but that was due to my fears.
I wasn't as strong and as kind. You were the one always there for me when I was in a bind. You had the biggest heart of anyone I've known. I guess maybe because I didn't know what to say or do to guide you.
We recently bonded again just like always....through thick and thin. I'm glad we had the recent times, times I didn't dream to think, that you could be gone in the instance of a blink.
Life is too short and I didn't get to say goodbye but I will always love you and remember why. You will never be forgotten. You were one of the best people I've ever known heart and soul. GOD be with you and watch over you.
