STERLING, CO - Patricia Irene Delaney, 83, passed away May 19, 2013, in Sterling.
Vigil service and recitation of the rosary will be 7 p.m., Friday, May 24, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home in Sterling. Private family service will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church at a later date. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Patricia was born April 18, 1930, in New Berlin, Ill., to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Peters) Carriger. She graduated from high school. On Nov. 3, 1948, she married David Delaney in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
Patricia was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary and a Brownie Scout leader. She sold Avon for 40 years and was a team leader for Avon.
She is survived by her daughters: Jackie Scheck (husband, Pete) of Sterling, Debra Kay Klee (husband, Wayne) of Sterling and Caroline Neel of Greeley; son, David L. Delaney of Mill Creek, Wash.; grandchildren: Bobi Burney, Chancely Carter, Pete Scheck, Nick Scheck, and Josh Neel; and great-grandchildren: Annika Scheck, Kylie Neel, Weston Scheck, Brandon Scheck, Levi Scheck and Wyatt Neel.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Delaney on Oct. 20, 2006; grandson, Joseph Neel; sisters, Agnes Reedy and Betty Kloppenburg.
Memorials may be made to VFW Auxiliary.
