Ruth Maples
SPRINGFIELD - Patsy Ruth Maples, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in St. Louis, MO on January 15, 1934 to Ruth and Roy Bieser of St. Louis, MO. Patsy moved to Springfield, Illinois in 1972.
Pat was a homemaker. She was employed by JC Penney, Horace Mann, and Kmart. In addition Patsy was self-employed as a housekeeper and worked for many families in the Springfield, Chatham and Rochester areas. She is a member of First United Methodist Church. She touched many lives through her kindness and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Hazen and father Roy Bieser.
She is survived by a sister Betty (Karl) Shirley of St. Louis; Six children: Christine (William) Kohn of Gilbertsville, KY; Kathleen Jopson (Shorty Cornett) of Coweta, OK; Richard (Charlotte) Jopson of Porter, OK; Deborah Flores of De Monies, IA; Dennis Hankins of Springfield, IL; David Carlow of Springfield, IL; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and two nephews.
A funeral service will be held in the spring at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association on behalf of Patsy Ruth Maples.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it's been 8 years but today I thought of Patsy for some reason. I am 41 years old and use to mow her lawn when she lived on Elm street when I was a very young kid. She was so sweet!! Rest in peace!
