Earl Eades
RIVERTON - Richard "Dick" Earl Eades, 75, of Riverton, died at 12:05 pm, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at his home. He was born August 16, 1936 in Petersburg, Illinois to Cedric Earl and Geraldine Ellen Bast Eades. He married Patricia "Pat" Lynch Eades on April 7, 1956 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter: Mary Kay Eades of Springfield; five sons: Mark (Debra) Eades of Colorado Springs, CO; Norman Eades and Charles Eades both of Springfield; Donald (Julie) Eades of Glenmoore, PA and Douglas (Barbara) Eades of Springfield; one sister: Katherine Jean Miller of Midland, MI; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Harry and Robert Eades.
He was a U.S. Air Force Reserve Veteran. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Eagles (Aerie #4361). Dick enjoyed watching his St. Louis Cardinals. He was an avid fisherman and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was employed by CIPS as a Meter Records Coordinator for 29 years. After retirement he worked part time at the Riverton Elementary School where he enjoyed helping the kids. He lived in the Riverton area most of his life.
Visitation: 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Joseph Ring officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Riverton Elementary School.

I knew Dick from when i was little & my family lived in Riverton. When my parents Julie & Greg Graham were members of the Eagles club in Riverton. When I was little Dick would be at the Eagles club and would walk around the property with me. I am sorry for your loss..Prayers and thought go to your family.

I grew up with Dick on Canedy Street. We played on the Hay-Edwards basketball team together. I still recall all of the good times we had in our youth. I am sorry my old playmate has passed on and offer the family my condolences.
