I just learned of Mr Romers passing today ... he was the best teacher at Stephen Decatur High School ... he was actually my favorite teacher .. he made class time fun being educated and we all adored him and the Mickey Mouse theme in class ... I was truly blessed to have had him for a teacher ... we really need more like him ... he was truly one of a kind ... gave learning an entirely new meaning ... will forever be in our hearts and our thoughts and prayers are sent to his entire family ...

To Dar and your offsprings and Bob's siblings:
This is cousin Bud Becker with wife Kaye and kids in Ohio and elswhere.......we are sooo sorry for your loss. Whatta GUY. He and his cousin Fr Becker had the same first names .....Robert. So as not to confuse, your Bob gave my Bob another name... namely Fr. Bob-ber. We all loved it and so did Fr Bob(-ber).We all had great times together. In fact two of my sons, when they first met your Bob, were amazed he was not Cal Ripkin. So these two guys(my John and Jim) went out at bought a tee-shirt, put Ripkin on the back, gave it and a baseball hat to him ....he wore them both the rest of the day.. So many great times, so great -a- guy all in your family and the Romers.
wunnerful times Bud and family in Ohio
