Rosalie G. McAfee
SPRINGFIELD - Rosalie G. McAfee, 91, passed away at her home on July 10, 2015.
Rosalie was born on June 4, 1924, in Raymond, IL, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Goins) Gibson.
Rosalie married Harold A McAfee on July 1, 1939, in New Holland, MO. They shared 70 years of marriage together until he preceded her in death on January 22, 2010.
Rosalie was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Rosalie was a dedicated mother and homemaker; she truly loved caring for her family and keeping a clean home.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Larry (Margaret "Kay") McAfee of Springfield, Linda K. Treece of Waverly; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Josephine Hammond of Sherman, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, IL 62711. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow services at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Those who wish may leave memorials to the American Heart Association.
