Pinellas Park, FL—Ryan Andrew "Mogy" Mogensen, 28, of Pinellas Park, FL, formerly of Springfield, IL passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017.
Ryan entered this world on May 12, 1989 in Springfield to proud parents, Rich and Brenda Mogensen.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers; and one grandmother.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Rich and Brenda; sister, Kristen (Brett) Rovey; nephew, Jamison; as well as an uncle, grandmother, cousins, aunts, and many friends across the country.
Ryan graduated from Rochester High School in 2007. He enlisted in the Air Force right out of High School and went to Minot, ND where he served his country for 7 years. He then headed south to warmer weather in Texas. He moved to Florida where he was studying Airframe/Power Plant and Avionics to work on airplanes. Ryan excelled in his studies and was rated at the top of his class.
Ryan loved kids and was well liked by his friends and their kids. He enjoyed doing outdoor activities and was a member of a corvette club.
Visitation will be from 4-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. There will be an additional visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the funeral home with Deacon Tom Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight or PTSD Foundation of America.
