Ted Blalock Obituary
PALATKA, FL - Ted "Teddy" Allan Blalock, 63, passed away May 18, 2016, after a brief illness.
Ted was born in Springfield, Ill., on March 19, 1953, to Richard and Audrey Blalock. He attended Southeast High School.
He lived in several locations but enjoyed California the best where he met the love of his life, Debbie; she survives.
After they married on Feb. 11, 1982, they moved around to different states, but finally settled in Florida. He was a talented carpenter and had his own business installing high-end kitchens in new homes. The last few years he worked at Home Depot and made some very good friends.
Ted loved visiting family and friends in Illinois and Florida. He would try to attend the Illinois State Fair every year just to catch up with old friends. He enjoyed his water color painting, a talent he inherited from his father. Another favorite pastime was to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals while talking the play-by-play on the phone with his best bud, Tom Ross.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey.
He is survived by his father, Richard Blalock; brother, Tom (Judy) Blalock; sister, Karan (Randy) Ross, all from Springfield; two stepchildren, Alicia Zicker of San Francisco and Ken Zicker of Riverdale, Utah. Uncle Teddy will be missed by all of his nieces and nephews.
Per request, he was cremated in Palatka, Fla., at Master's Funeral Home.
Ted will be interred on June 11, 2016, in a private memorial gathering for family.

You were a GREAT Friend Ted! I will really miss our rivalry talks of the Cubs vs. Cards and how the Cards were going to the World Series EVERY year! Working with you at Home Depot was my honor and privilege as you taught me a lot of not only different ways to make moulding work in a house but life in general. You would tell a joke when I was down and always loved to see pics of my family and ask how they were doing. Thank you my friend for being MY FRIEND, RIP. ol' friend and May God look over your family.

I remember when Ted was born...such a cutie. I hope and pray that all the good memories help his family going through this grief. Rest In Peace, Ted.
