Theodore "Ted" Charles Lindquist 1929 - 2017
Theodore "Ted" Charles Lindquist, 87, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Regency Care.
Ted was born on October 29, 1929 in Muskegon, MI the son of Theodore G. and Margaret Koelln Lindquist. He married Marilyn Mavis on February 23, 1952 at Great Lakes Naval Base; she preceded him in death April 4, 2012.
Ted grew up on farms in Renville and Kandiyohi Counties. He graduated from the Willmar High School in Willmar, MN in 1947. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1948-1952. He went on to attend Dunwoody Institute of Electronics and subsequently was employed by IBM, Illinois Bell Telephone and AT&T. He was a member of Springfield Bible Church, Gideons International and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Allen Lindquist.
He is survived by daughter, Wendy Ann Boatman of Springfield; sons, Bradley Lindquist of Divernon and Jeffery G. Lindquist of Springfield; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was accorded by Springfield Crematory
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Johnnie Standard officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Bible Church.

Ted "Teddy Bear" worked with my dad Harold "Soupy" Creighton at Illinois Bell for many years. Ted and Marilyn were good friends of our family. I'm sorry to hear of his passing. He's at peace.
