THOMAS MALONE Obituary

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Thomas L. Malone was born June 3, 1958 and passed away Jan. 1, 2014, in Florida, surrounded by his family. Tom grew up in Elk Grove Village and was a graduate of Elk Grove High School. He served four years in the US Air Force, was a University of Illinois in Chicago graduate and worked as a CPA in the private sector for many years. He retired in 2013 from the US State Department as Director of Finance at the Foreign Embassy, Botswana, South Africa. Tom was the ultimate Chicago Blackhawks fan from start to finish. He was the son of Thomas J. Malone (Marianne) and Barbara R. Malone (Darold); brother of Michael J. (Rebecca) Malone (his twin), Maureen K. Malone, John P. (Jeanne) Malone and the late Kathleen M. Malone; uncle of many nieces and nephews; husband of Samah Malone; and father of Denis, Lucille, Nour and Jasmine Malone. Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at St. James Catholic Church, 820 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society desired.
