ADDISON ESCHENBACHER Obituary

June 17, 2002 -
August 1, 2018

Addison May Eschenbacher, 16, of Anacortes, WA passed away in her home August 1st, 2018.

Addy was born to Scott and Erica Eschenbacher, in Chewelah, WA, June 17, 2002. Addy attended Island View Elementary, AMS, AHS, completing 10th grade and was due to begin running start at Skagit Valley College in the fall.

Addison excelled at everything she set her mind to, including youth cheer, softball and volleyball. Addy decided to cut extra-curricular activities in High School to focus on keeping her 4.0 GPA and honor roll status in which she succeeded to accomplish.

Addy was a talented artist, avid reader and creative writer that could bring tears to your eyes. She lent her beautiful voice to the AMS choir that was recognized at competition level. We will all miss her serenading us with Lana on the piano or playing requests on the guitar.

Addy recently was part of a student tour of Spain/Italy with her mentor/Spanish teacher, Amy Ubungen. Addy was a member of the staff/family at Gere-A- Deli as well as interning with PDA Marketing.

Addison is survived by her parents, Scott and Erica Eschenbacher, sister Anika and brother-in-law Mathew Smith, sister Chasity and niece and nephews, Kyrin, Jericho and baby Grey. She also leaves her paternal grandparents, Brenda and Lloyd Eschenbacher of Hamilton, MT, her maternal grandparents, Karen and Marlin Lyson of Chewelah, WA, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. We mustn't forget the countless friends she made along the way; you know who you are, as well as Addy's blue-eyed kitten Oliver, who has been our rock during this time.

I am sure there are many others who have felt the impact of Addison's passing, as she has left us all too soon. She was an amazing person, a precious daughter we are so proud of, and we are deeply saddened she didn't recognize her worth in time. Unfortunately, her first real bad choice came with immensely final and dire consequences.

We thank the whole community, as well as Evan's Funeral Chapel, for all the support you have given. While we respectfully request to grieve in private, we ask that you share your support and love with each other, count your blessings, rejoice in your differences, and know you are not alone. No matter how hard it seems, please live to fight the battle another day.

The family asks you to consider memorial contributions be given to Skagit County Youth Suicide Prevention and Intervention.

How can anyone express the depth of sorrow for such a profound loss? I have to believe in my heart that God has taken you home to comfort and love you. Nothing makes sense without hope and faith that you are now in an amazing place. Without that hope and faith, what is left but eternal sorrow.
