BERNIE BIERMANN Obituary
October 5, 2017
Bernie was born March 25, 1926 in Herford, Germany and passed away October 5, 2017 in Burlington, Washington.
His father was Walter Biermann and mother Ida.
He joined the German Army at age 17. In 1945 he became a prisoner of war and spent 3 years in a POW camp in England. After release from camp in 1949, he went back home to Herford. He met and married Hella Klinke in 1950. The marriage lasted for 67 years.
In 1950 they immigrated to America and lived for 8 years in Point Roberts, WA. It was here where their daughter Debbie was born.
They then moved to Sedro-Woolley. He worked in the carpenter trade. He worked at the Skagit Corporation for 10 years and the Housing Authority of Washington for 10 years.
Retirement was filled with lots of travel, fishing, golfing and fun things.
He is survived by wife Hella and daughter Debbie and two grandkids, Kylan and Taylor, sister Liesel and Erika in Germany.
Final arrangements by the Neptune Society.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.

We have just been informed by our granddaughter Anneke, who is currently staying in Seattle, that Bernie has passed. We gave Anneke your adress to get in contact with you. We are sending our condolences from your hometown Herford!
