Billy Edward Bunch

1950 - 2026

Burlington - Billy Edward Bunch, 75, of Burlington, Washington, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026. After two weeks of complications due to cancer treatments, Billy ended his last chapter of life. He was surrounded by his immediate family members and close friends as he gave his last breath peacefully in his bed at home. Billy was born on October 31, 1950, to Billy Bunch and Dorothy Lovell Morton in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He married Teofila Enciso Padel in the Philippines on January 22, 1981.

Billy was a retired Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam. He spent his career touring all over the world and retired from NAS Whidbey Island. He was a talented aircraft mechanic and later became an ASE-certified mechanic. He spent his retirement traveling with his wife to their home in the Philippines and enjoying their many other trips. An avid reader, Billy would read about 400 pages a day with a football game or one of his favorite shows blaring in the background. He was a simple man. Billy was a "Saints fan and a Bud man".

Billy is survived by his wife, Teofila Bunch of Burlington; daughter, Juanita Mikota (and son-in-law, Doug Mikota) of Burlington; son, David Bunch (and daughter-in-law, Danielle Bunch) of Parker, Colorado; daughter, Jennifer Blankinship (and son-in-law, Andrew Blankinship) of Burlington. He was loved by his many grandchildren, Dominique Maillet, Daelynn Reider, Oryeus Blankinship, Bruce Blankinship, Marquez Bunch, Raymond Mikota and Nora Bunch, along with all of the nieces and nephews from the Philippines. Billy is also survived by his oldest sister, Ruth Huddleston; brothers, Thomas Smith and Roger Bunch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Dorothy Bunch; siblings, Lucille McCoy, Sandra Arndt and Leland Bunch.
