Carla Rose Eddings

1940 - 2025

Burlington - Mrs. Carla Eddings, 85, a native of Burlington, WA passed away on August 18, 2025 surrounded by family.

She was born at The Burlington General Hospital, Burlington, WA. on May 3, 1940 to Carl Belcoe and Alta Fenske. She graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1958. Carla married Harold Heiner in 1956 and together they had 4 children, Darrell, Lisa, Scott and Dena. After their divorce she attended Skagit Valley Community College and became a transcriptionist. She was hired at Skagit Valley Hospital and worked there for 30 years until she retired.

In 1979 she married Ray Eddings and added his 4 children, Valerie, Susan, Donna and Eddie, to her family.

During her life she enjoyed doing some community theater, gardening, candle making, growing flowers, quilting, baking and her love for the Lord. Carla and Ray traveled to Hawaii annually for many years as well as volunteering for 9 years at the temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by 3 sisters, Merrilee, Shellie and Gemze, as well as 1 brother Randy, her 4 children, 4 stepchildren, 45 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her older sister, Dawn, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1700 E Hazel Street in Mt. Vernon Saturday August 30, 2025 at 1:00 followed by light snacks.
