Cordelia Cloke Obituary

La Conner - Cordelia Heather-Anne Cloke was born on April 2, 1978, in Davenport, Washington, to Bill and Patty Cloke. She grew up in a military family along with her older brother, Chris Cloke, living around the United States as well as a three-year stint in Germany before graduating from Franklin Pierce High School and later from Central Washington University. Cordelia was a unique and spirited individual. She would be the first to get someone out of their comfort zone and was the life of a party. Her background in and love for theater showed through often, and she remained an outgoing actress and singer throughout her life. Cordelia's love for children was on display for all to see when taking care of her own children and the hundreds of kindergarten students in her fifteen years of elementary teaching. She loved every second of it, and she held her two children, Annalise and Beckett, close as well as her beloved, Alvin Day. Cordelia is survived by her partner, Alvin Day; her children, Annalise and Beckett Mahaffie; her stepchildren, Martha and Nathan Turner; her father, William Cloke; her brother, Chris Cloke; and many more family members near and far. Though Cordelia's time with us felt way too short, her impact on the world was immense. Her family will miss her laugh, her wit, and her love forever after.

When Cordelia loved, it was with all her heart. The love she had for her kids, my dad, and for my own small family was felt from the moment we met her. Hearing her stories about life and adventures was always special and always felt personal, like she was only telling you. She will be missed but will live on forever with the love she imprinted on each of us.

In loving memory of the one I loved she showed me how to love her and life with positive outlook she loved singing.
I'll miss her reading out loud while on long drives .
And I'll truly miss her endless talking with me about everything. Her smile was infectious so everyone smiled.
Loved her snarky.jokes I got five minutes later.
I'll truly miss her. She was a blessing to love
