Dawn Scicluna Obituary
Marysville - DAWN RANDALEE FORCE SCICLUNA
Dawn, age 65, of Marysville, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 1,
2025, surrounded by her loving husband and family after a lengthy battle with
kidney disease.
Born on January 4, 1960, in Everett, Washington to Marion Force and Donald
Force, Dawn grew up in Mount Vernon, Washington and graduated in 1978 from
Mount Vernon High School. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the high
school choir. She also enjoyed being a candy striper as part of the future nurses
club.
At age 18, Dawn was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. In 1999 she received a
kidney transplant followed by a pancreas transplant in 2000. She was an
amazing caretaker of these life-saving organs until sadly an infection set in in
late 2024. Although Dawn had a life filled with many health challenges, she
always kept a positive outlook and never complained.
For 25 years Dawn worked as an Account Manager for Energard Technologies.
She was a meticulous, hardworking employee, and was highly regarded by her
clients.
Dawn loved to scour thrift stores and was always on the lookout for Fenton
glass. She amassed a beautiful collection of colorful glass figurines. She loved
dancing to the oldies with her husband Anthony, and together they made
several trips to Canada to visit his family. At home, Dawn enjoyed playing
scrabble on the computer, and watching true crime stories on TV.
Dawn will be lovingly remembered for her witty sense of humor, her
selflessness, her spunk, and her deep love of her family.
Dawn is survived by her husband of nearly 14 years, Anthony Scicluna of
Marysville, WA, sister Dennice Henshaw (Tom) of Samish Island, WA, sister
Deana Yaskus (John) of Marysville, WA, half-sister Janiece Force-Allen (Steve)
of Arvada, CO, half-sister Jacque Brown (Dave) of Custer, WA, sister-in-law
Yolanda Johnson of Georgetown, TX, niece Marion Johnson Fuller (Zach) of
Georgetown, TX, niece Chelsea Jewell (Scott) of La Conner, WA and many
aunts, uncles and cousins. Dawn also leaves behind long-time family friend
Larry Franklin of Cantonment, FL. In addition, she is survived by her beloved
kitties Juza and Sheba.
Dawn was preceded in death by her mother Marion, and half-brother Rich
Johnson.
Though our hearts ache with her loss, we are forever grateful for the time we
had with her. Dawn, we will continue to celebrate your life, love and legacy, until
we meet again.
A Celebration of Life for Dawn will be held on September 27, 2025, at 2pm at
the La Conner Civic Garden Club, 622 S 2nd St La Conner, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the American
Diabetes Association.
