Debra Calderon Obituary
She was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 12, 1960 to Adolph and Imelda Garcia, however, she lived the majority of her life in Southern California, and the last fifteen years within what she always described as "our beautiful Skagit Valley."
Aubrey was a truly independent soul. She made her own rules and moved to her own rhythms. She loved to write poetry, cook, entertain, read Tarot cards, rescue animals, knit, sing (but only when she thought no one was listening), tell incredibly funny stories, smile the most gorgeous smile, and to shine her love-light upon those she cared about.
She is survived by her mother Imelda and step-father Gabriel Guevara, her two children with Luis Calderon, Alena and Joshua, (who both benefited from her fierce love and support), Joshua's son Wyatt, and her life-partner Christopher Bollinger - all residents of Mount Vernon.
Her beloved sister Rosie and father Adolph preceded her in death. She had maintained close ties to her nieces Dani Maxwell and Sarina Pargas-Vega, and also with her step-mother, Karen Garcia.
Her wishes would be for people to donate time and/or money in her memory to their local animal rescue groups, including her favorite, the Humane Society of Skagit Valley, at 18841 Kelleher Rd, Burlington, WA 98233.
