DENNIS MCMILLAN Obituary
Dennis John McMillan of Anacortes, WA passed away on Monday, October 22, 2017, in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather, middle school teacher, gardener, carpenter, volunteer, activist, and proud intellectual.
He was born in Lancaster, NY in 1943, attended Canisius College, and lived in Buffalo where he met the love of his life, Barbara Cooper.
Dennis retired after many years as a teacher to pursue his hobbies: volunteering, gardening, home renovation, sci-fi reading, and cars.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who truly loved his family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara Cooper, sons Jed and Nicholas Cooper, their spouses Susan and Gail, and three grandchildren, Isaiah, Ari, and Molly.
There will be a time of remembrance at the family home on Sunday, November 19th, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anacortes School Foundation After School Arts Program.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Anacortes.
