Eloise Marion Hammer

1936 - 2025

Anacortes - Eloise Hammer, 88, passed away on August 24th, 2025, in Burlington. She was born on November 30, 1936, in Preston, SD, the daughter of Richard and Esther (Sandum) Buer. Eloise is survived by her 4 children, Marlon and Erin Hammer, Jeffrey Hammer, Evonne and Keith Clodfelter and Tamara-Dee Zimny. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marlene Welk, Harvey (Suzie) Buer and Delores (Buer) Hitchman Johnson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Many people may remember her as the friendly face at Buers Anacortes Floral and Gifts which the family owned for many decades. She loved the Lord with all her heart and would always check with her children and grandchildren to make sure they made sure to follow the Lord. One of her favorite things to do was singing the old hymns. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Evans Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, at Family Life Assembly of God Church in Anacortes, followed by a reception, then interment at Grandview Cemetery.
