Gloria Davidson Obituary

Mount Vernon - Gloria Burnett Davidson passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on June 7, 2025, at the age of 96. Born in Seattle, Washington, to Alexander and Harriet Baidin, Gloria graduated from Ballard High School and later studied Art at the University of Washington.

In 1951, Gloria married James Burnett, and together they raised five children. A gifted music educator, Gloria, taught piano for decades and became a leading figure in group instruction using the Robert Pace method. Her work took her across the U.S. and abroad. She authored a book of musical games that remains in print today. In recognition of her contributions, she was inducted into the Washington State Music Teachers Hall of Fame in 2004.

Gloria was also an accomplished artist and creative spirit, known for painting, including festive holiday windows for business and at home, designing handmade cards which turned into teaching design & techniques classes at local rubber stamp stores.

After the deaths of her first two husbands, Jim Burnett and Charles Scott, she found love again and shared the last 19 years of her life with her loving husband, Alex Davidson.

She is survived by Alex; her five children, Sue, Nancy (Ken), Kathy (Terry), Jean (Mike), Jim and Stepsons Ron (Cecilia) and Graham (Randall). Gloria was blessed to have many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Read more at: https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/seattle-wa/gloria-davidson-12438174
