I rode race horses for JC back in 1973. He watched me ride horses on a Saturday and he told the trainer he wanted to see me up at the house. On the way up to the house, he met me on the driveway in his Lincoln continental. He told me to get in and we talked. He said if I got along with the trainer he would send me to the Kentucky Derby. The trainer liked Ramon instead even though ramon weighed like 135-140 lbs to my 103. I never got to go to the derby.
