Sunnyside - Jacqueline "Jackie" Mary Harwood Mershon passed away at the age of 67, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones in Richland, Washington.
Jackie was born November 28, 1957 to John and Loraine Mershon in Jamestown, New York. She later moved with her parents to Arizona. She grew up with her five siblings whom she loved dearly. She grew into a young woman, marrying and having three children (Patricia, Raquel and Esteban). She then later traveled to Washington and became a mother to her fourth child (Isaac).
Jackie completed college with a Nursing Degree as a licensed nurse practitioner serving those in need, which she practiced for thirty-three years until retirement. Jackie traveled the country until she settled into Sunnyside, Washington. She was a big supporter of her grandkids, great-grandkids and their events. Jackie loved family time and events. She loved crafts, lots of baking, as well as trips to the casino, getting coffee and having a smoke.
We all know mom, she would say what was on her mind, some would call her "two cent-Jackie" (always opinionated), others would just call her to tell her the latest gossip and ask for her advice or just build their confidence. Jackie was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Loraine Mershon and her brother, John Mershon.
She is survived by her sons, Esteban Rodriguez Jr. of Yakima, WA, Isaac (Yecenia) Carreras of Sunnyside, WA; daughters, Patricia (Ramon) Rodriguez of Burlington, WA, Raquel (Rafael) Martinez of Mabton, WA; brothers, James "Jim" (Sharon) Mershon of Longview, WA; sisters, Judy Mershon of Longview, WA and Jeanette Mershon of Longview, WA; her 18 grandchildren, and her 24 great-grandchildren.
