JAMES HOPPER Obituary

In the early morning of November 11th, Jim Hopper broke free of bone cancer and diabetes.

He left behind his wife, Lois, of 62 years; two daughters, Julie Knight and husband Scott and Susan Hopper; four sons Jim, Jon, Jeff, and Jerry and wife Kerry; four grandchildren Kate Knight, Doug Knight, Kylan Hopper, and Skye Hopper. Jim is also survived by his younger brother, Tom Hopper and his wife Marilyn, nephew Steve and nieces Connie and Peggy.

A life long interest in photography allowed him to record the chapters of his life: high school track, three years in the US Coast Guard aboard the Falgout and Wachusette, his children's and grandchildren's participation in sports and graduations, and lots and lots of sunsets.

Jim retired from Skagit State Bank after a lifetime in banking, which helped him with his other love - genealogy.

Per his request, the family will join together for a private celebration of his life. Donations may be made in his honor to a charity for children's needs or the charity of your choice.

Miss You Dad ??

Meg Mann

November 26, 2014

"Jim" was a kind man and a good friend to my father, Jim Mann. May your family find peace in this time of sorrow. My memory of Jim is at the Skagit Valley Highland Games when he joined dad and me for the day. We had fun together. I know my dad will really miss his long time friend.
With love and prayers,
Meg
