JAMES VAN VALKENBURG LCDR, USN (RET.) Obituary
November 9, 2017
James Arthur Van Valkenburg, (Sailor, Engineer, Pilot) 85, of Anacortes, WA, passed peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Jim was born on November 3, 1932, the son of Arthur and Venita Van Valkenburg.
Jim is survived by his wife Mary Van Valkenburg; his children: Dyrk and Victoria; grandson: Al Carey, Jr.; grandchildren: Stewart, Arthur, Amanda and Jacob Van Valkenburg. Kelly, Ginny and Kevin Carey; sister, Vivian and three brothers: Edward, Roger and Herbert.
In remembrance of Jim, donations may be made to the Orca Conservancy.
A Memorial Service is being planned for Spring of 2018.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel of Anacortes, WA.
