JEREMY LIDDLE Obituary

Jeremy Christopher Liddle, 25, of Anacortes, Washington, entered the glorious presence of his Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 16, 2013.

He was born on August 27, 1987, to Doug and Bev Liddle. Jeremy was raised in Anacortes and worked locally for many years at various jobs, including newspaper delivery, Food Pavilion, Radio Shack, San Juan Yachts, Dakota Creek, and Anthony's.

Jeremy's outgoing personality and sense of humor made him friends wherever he went.

He was a member of Summit Park Bible Church and loved being involved with the youth and worship ministries.

After completing high school, Jeremy earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Skagit Valley Community College.

He joined the United States Navy in the fall of 2011, and in January of 2012 he shipped out to Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon graduating from boot camp in March, he moved to Pensacola, Florida, to train as a cryptology network technician. He excelled in his technical studies and was at the top of his class when his health began to fail.

Jeremy returned to Washington in August 2012 after being diagnosed with rhabdomyo sarcoma cancer of the heart. For over six months, Doctor Jones of Seattle Cancer Care Alliance worked to treat his condition, but due to its rare and aggressive nature, was unable to stop the spread.

Jeremy spent his final months and hours surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Jeremy is survived by his parents, Doug and Bev Liddle; nine siblings, Jennifer Liddle, Jacob (Elizabeth) Liddle, Julie (Brandon) Decker, Josiah Liddle, Janetta Liddle, Jason Liddle, Jill Liddle, Jonathan Liddle, and Jeff Liddle; and his nephews and niece, Zack, Matthew, Matthew, and Meagan.

A private family burial will be held at Fernhill Cemetery in Anacortes.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Summit Park Bible Church, with Pastor Monte Ruble officiating.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands. To share memories of Jeremy, please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com.

Jeremy it seems had many abilities to offer to all of us but he has been spared the extreme hardships of this life to come, and has been chosen by our father to join him in heaven now instead of later. The brief memory of him that you have enjoyed in his 25 years will be his blessing to you and your children, and will be a testamony to the rest of us. our hearts go out to bev and doug and all of rest of the families and siblings in this moment of grief and joy, for those that believe, we know we shall see him again. As jesus said, let not your hearts be troubled, for i go to prepare a place for you so that where i am you may be also. with love and respect, grandma and grandpa shaeffer.

Doug, Bev and family,

My family and I are very saddened by the news of Jeremy's passing. Jeremy was such a wonderful young man. So handsome, kind, outgoing and always so helpful. I love his beautiful smile! You did a wonderful job raising him to be Christ like and he was a great example and friend to my son Beau. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all to give you strength and peace until you once again see Jeremy.

Love,
Sherri Sonnabend

Dog,Bev,and family,
Our thoughts and prayers have been with you as you have traveled this road with Jeremy. May God bless each of you in this time of grief and loss. Some words from a hymn: Sometimes my eyes are filled with teardrops, my sorrows here are hard to bear, but in gods word I read the promise, there will be no tears up there. There will be no days of grief or sighing, no weary nights of anxious prayer, for in that land there will be no dying, there will be no tears up there. We will continue to lift you up in prayer in the days and weeks ahead.

It was a joy and a blessing to have known you as a friend and brother in The Lord. My prayer is through all of this God's glory will be made known to someone who doesn't know God the way that you and your family or we do. What a comfort our faith in God's promises do for us when we loose loved ones who belong to Him.
