KEITH BUTLER Obituary

In the company of family, Keith "Papa" Butler went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2015, after lengthy struggle with complications from COPD.

Keith, the only child of Irene Brawley and Klondyke Butler, was born in 1933 in Mount Vernon, WA. Keith was a 1953 graduate of Mount Vernon's Union High School.

He was proud to join the United States Air Force in 1954, where he attained the rank of Airman First Class as an Airplane Mechanic. Keith married Virginia "Ginny" Jacobsen in July of 1980.

He was employed as a Boeing Mechanic, Milk Truck Driver, Security Guard, and Floral Delivery Driver. Keith's hobbies were collecting HO trains, Classic Die-Cast Cars, building and displaying models. He had a lifelong interest in World War II history. Time spent with his two grandchildren was precious to Keith as they arrived late in life.

He is survived by wife Virginia, daughter Cyndi (Jude) Egold of Moorpark, CA, daughter Karen (Mark) Flickner and grandchildren Andrew and Noelani Flickner of Mount Vernon, special friends Liz McDonnell of Conway, and Jerry and Carol Farnsworth and family of Mount Vernon.

A memorial celebrating Keith's life will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 2pm at Grace Christian Fellowship, 2121 E. College Way, behind Lorenzo's Restaurant.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your loved one. We look to God's guidance and strength during these difficult times. He states in his Word at Psalms 29:11, "He will give strength to his people. He will bless his people with peace."
