LANNY ROSS Obituary
March 20, 2018
Lanny Ross, a lifelong resident of Skagit County passed away in Arizona on March 20, 2018 at the age of 76.
Lanny was born April 1, 1941 in Burlington, WA, son of Jesse and Babe Ross. He attended school in Burlington and worked in his parents grocery store. In high school Lanny loved sports and had letters in football and wrestling.
After high school, Lanny married and had 3 sons that were the love of his life. In 1980 Lanny married Mary Forst and they enjoyed 38 years together, until his passing.
He is survived by his wife Mary, sons Mike Schols (Margaret), Mark Schols, and Kelly Schols. Beloved nephew, Brian Wilms (Samantha). Stepchildren, Jane Scott, Laurie (Rick) White, Diane (Rick) Nevitt, Rob (Amy) Dowen. Grandchildren, Kalee Hodgeson, Dylan Schols, Ashley Schols, Taylor Schols, Alysa Schols, Amy Schols, Taylor Scott, Melinda Scott, AJ (Holly) White, Justin White, Natalie Canniff, Zack Nevitt, Alyssa (Jeff) Hauenstein, Elli (Cory) Brown and Gabriella Dowen. Aunt Helen Fosket and 8 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is planned for August 18, 2018 at the Skagit Golf and Country Club located at 16701 Country Club Drive, Burlington.

Mary and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I attended school with Lanny, 1st grade through graduation. He always had a ready smile, and was such a helpful part of many classmates activities at BEHS. Always a great friend to me. Lanny was and always will be a foundation of what is right in a world of chaos. this is a sad day in my heart. His life will always be good memories. Mary, my thought are with you and your family. It was not in vain. He lives on in many of our hearts.
