Lauri Martone Obituary

Sedro Woolley - Lauri Ann Martone

Date of Earths Journey: July 6, 1973

Date of Journey to Heaven: May 24, 2025

With our heads bowed low and our hearts broken, we announce the devastating passing of our beautiful sister, mother, aunt, cousin, and friend, Lauri Ann Martone.

She came to us on a warm July day-the 6th-a day perfectly chosen for her by the highest of powers. On May 24, 2025, she embarked on her journey to Heaven, greeted in peace by our parents, James and Marcia Martone, and her beloved grandmother Adrienne Hughes. Her Uncle Gene and Wylie met her with open arms. At the Rainbow Bridge, she reunited joyfully with our cherished family pets who loved her so dearly.

Lauri was a devoted mother to four children: Alex, Lance, Colton, and the love and light of her life, Isabel. Everything she did was driven by her fierce love for her children and her deep desire to give them the very best life she could.

She leaves behind her loving siblings, Mardi and John Martone; her nieces and nephews-Kevin, Blade, Mikayla, Austin, and Dayton; her treasured great-niece, Scarlett; our Aunt Stephanie and her beautiful daughters. Lauri was surrounded by countless friends-too many to name-but each one held a special place in her heart.

Lauri had a heart made of fire and gold-equal parts strength and warmth. She fought and beat cancer, proving just how fierce she truly was. But in that battle, her heart was weakened, and she was told to "settle down" and "take it easy." Anyone who knew Lauri knows she was never one to settle down.

She was a wild spirit. A legend. One-third of the infamous "Martone Trilogy" that people still talk about. She could stare down the devil-and make him back away. And yet, she was also the one who'd give you her last dollar, the shirt off her back, and sleep on the floor so you could take her bed. If she loved you, she'd move mountains for you.

There will never be another like our Lauri.

She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and fearless devotion. She will forever watch over Isabel as the most powerful guardian angel any little girl could have. She's cheering on Alex as he overcomes obstacles in the military and uses his education to build a future beyond words. She's watching Colton step into high school, already dreaming of college. She watches Isabel dance and sing in the radiant sunshine that she provides for her, and Lauri is dancing right there next to her.

A Celebration of Life & Birthday Party is scheduled for July 5th from 8 am to 8 pm at Riverfront Park, 901 Riverbend Rd Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 (in the large gazebo).

Lauri, you will be forever missed. You are and will be unconditionally loved beyond words, and you will never, ever be forgotten.

It's never goodbye-it's see you later.

While I didn´t know your sister Mardi, I feel like I know her a little through your words and love you have for her. I´m deeply sorry for your loss and pain you feel. Remembering her will keep her always alive in your heart and she will shine through her children. May your loving and fond memories bring you some peace and comfort.

My sister, there's so much to say, I just love you so much and I wish I could've been there for you. You were taken to soon and it's not right, you still had babies to raise and play with and help them grow. But now you're their Guardian Angel and they couldn't have a better protector. I promise you I will raise them thinking of you every step of the way. I will tell them every day how much you love them. You were the best sister anybody could ever have. I'll never be the same without Lauri. A big piece of me left with you that day, you will be with me always and forever. You're my Angel on the Moon, in Silent Lucidity. I love you.
