Michael Reiss Obituary

Concrete - On October 24, we lost our precious Michael. The world lost an amazing Superhero. Michael touched the hearts of everyone he met. He had the best sense of humor, an amazing smile that lit up the room and the most contagious laugh. Mikey ALWAYS gave everyone bunny ears and when giving high fives, "down low, too slow" he always seemed to win. He loved the simple things in life, Rocks, playing Yahtzee and cards, watching SpongeBob SquarePants and coloring. He was the best rock skipper ever! There's no way to express the amazingness of Mike. When talking about him to anyone I would say "everyone needs a dose of Michael in their life". Just by knowing Mike made us better people. He taught us so much in very different ways, lessons we could only learn from him. He truly made the world a better place. We are all absolutely heartbroken and having to learn how to manage each day without our BRAVE Michael, our Superhero. But we are able to share stories, talk of the good times and have good laughs. That's exactly what he would have wanted. So, each day we will think of him, his smile, his laugh and his sense of humor and know that he is always in our hearts and at peace.

Michael (age 38) was born on June 1, 1986 in Sedro-Woolley to Ronald and Laura Reiss. He graduated from Burlington-Edison High School in Burlington, WA in 2007. Mike worked in the restaurant field within the Kulshan Supported Employment program. He is survived by his Father, Ronald (Jody) Reiss of Burlington, WA; mother, Laura (Mitchell) Reiss-Yanover of Concrete, WA; brothers, Daniel Reiss of Moscow, Idaho, Joseph Yanover of Spokane, WA; sister, Lena Sillas of Bonny Lake, WA; special cousin, Holly Smedley and so many more....

A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on June 1, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Michaels home at 42144 Cape Horn Dr. Concrete, WA 98237. I met Michael at the American Legion in Sedro Woolley. He would come in for karaoke on Monday nights and always wanted to arm wrestle. Most times he would win.
