Mike Lloyd

1953 - 2024

Anacortes - Mike was born July 18, 1953 to Maurice and Lorene Lloyd (Silvernail) in Anacortes. He attended Anacortes schools and graduated high school in 1971. He then attended Skagit Valley College. Mike was employed by Anacortes School District doing grounds maintenance most of his work life. He retired in 2015.

In September 1990, Mike married Sheila Sernesky at a beautiful vista at Washington Park. Mike and Sheila were blessed with two children, Casey in 1991 and Ryleigh in 1992. The Lloyd family enjoyed their old tug "Kathleen" cruising the San Juan islands, fishing, crabbing and visiting friends at Decatur Island. Besides fishing and boating, Mike liked to hunt, hike, garden, pick wild mushrooms and berries and was known to preserve his bounty.

Mike is survived by his son Casey Lloyd (Melissa Gilbert), daughter Ryleigh Lloyd; grandchildren Kai Lloyd and Hailey Lloyd; sisters Kathi Ray and Deanna Lindholm, and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Sheila.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Anacortes Elks Lodge located at 1009 7th St., on Saturday, August 24th at 4:00pm. Per Sheila's plan, wear your Hawaiian shirts.
