MIRIAM BILL Obituary

Sunrise July 29, 1966
Sunset March 26, 2012

On Monday Miriam Henrietta Bill was suddenly called home to be with the Lord. She was born in Mount Vernon, WA to Dennis and Mary (Joseph) Bill. Miriam attended Burlington Edison High School and later Edmonds Community College CTI Program.

Miriam was formerly employed by the Tulalip Casino as Bartender and she also worked on the construction of the new Tulalip Casino. She also worked for the Sauk-Suiattle Tribe as a CHR for the health clinic.

She faithfully followed her cultural practices. Miriam was a member of the Smokehouse and Shaker Church religion. In her younger years she enjoyed attending the Mormon and Catholic churches. She also belonged to the War Hawk, Southern Style, Sauk Nation and Timberland Creek Drum Groups. She was a Fancy Dancer and a Traditional Dancer.

Miriam was a huge W.W.E. wrestling fan and loved to watch Wrestle Mania. Music made her happy; she especially liked to listen to Elvis Presley and she would play it real loud. Miriam enjoyed family time with her kids and grandkids; she made sure they had BBQ's, outings to the lakes, went to the movies and always spent time together.

Miriam is survived by her mother, Mary (Joseph) Bill; her children, Leona Bill, Lashelle Bill, Khrista Watene (Sean), Corrine Moore and Duane Westley; her grandchildren, Nevaeh and Angelina Watene, Franchesca, Jamie, Tyson and Azzariah Bill, Kayleela and Jayden Moses and Damian Hills; her brothers, Willard, Andrew, John and Warren Bill; her sisters, Janice and Julie Bill; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Bill Sr; brothers, Dennis Bill Jr (Danny) and Perry Bill; her sisters, Gloria Bill, Pearle Rodriguez, Marilyn Sam and Florence Bill; her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Emily (Joe) Bill; her maternal grandparents, Peter Joseph and Salena Sam.

A prayer service was held on Wednesday evening, and a funeral service will be held today, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Swinomish Social Services Building.

Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home.

I loved my cousins, it was good to see "Butchie" just last week.
First time I'd seen her in a long time, we had a good visit. I love you all, my cousins and Auntie Mary.
