Paul VanHine Obituary

Sedro-Woolley - Paul Van Hine, long time Skagit Valley resident, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 18th, at United General Hospital in Sedro Woolley, WA, with both of his sons, Joshua and Alexander, alongside him. He was born on August 27th, 1947 in Ludlow, MA to Francis and June Van Hine. After years of various journeys and travel - which brought him across the country to San Francisco, followed by a stay in British Columbia - Paul eventually settled in the La Conner, WA area, where he would soon meet his future wife, Linda C. Nelson. They married in September of 1983. Paul and Linda would raise their two sons, Josh and Alex, in the La Conner Community. Paul made a successful career as a Marine Canvas Fabricator for over 30yrs, primarily working out of Anacortes, WA. Paul had an exquisite passion for music, gourmet foods, gardening and all things outdoors. Survivors are his sons and daughter-in-law's, Joshua and April Van Hine, and Alexander and Corynne Van Hine; Grandsons, Grady and Ethan; granddaughters, Claire, Olivia and Emersyn; brothers, David Van Hine and Peter Van Hine, sister Lee Sealey (Van Hine). He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and by his wife Linda in 2011.

A Gathering of Family and Friends In Memoriam will be held Saturday April 19th at 11am; Swinomish Yacht Club, 310 N 1st St, La Conner, WA.

Final Disposition; Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Columbarium alongside wife Linda C. Nelson

So sorry to hear Paul passed beyond the rim. We were friends for over 50 years and back in the day in San Francisco ('68-'72) we worked together in the leather business making custom clothing. He was a great tailor, a skill he used making custom boat covers in Anacortes. He will be missed as we all grow old.
