Raymond Rempt Obituary

Anacortes - Early on the morning of November 22, 2023, my husband, Ray Rempt, began his last and his best adventure ever.

He had been a resident of Anacortes, Washington for most of the last 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife Pamela his sons Yohanan, Joshua, James, his daughters-in-laws, four grandchildren, and Ray's brother, Admiral Rodney P. Rempt and his wife, and some wonderful nieces and a nephew, and great-nephews and great-nieces.

He was born to Henry and Dorothy Rempt in Los Angeles, California, where he was raised and lived in Van Nuys until his late twenties.

Ray's number one passion in life was to give the love of Jesus, particularly to young people all over the world, along with the knowledge and understanding of the scriptures in the Bible. He authored numerous books and songs, along with being a gifted musician, who played many instruments.

He was a brilliant PhD in physics, (although he rarely used his "Dr." title). He was an inventor in his field. He worked for The Boeing Company for almost 25 years where he became a Fellow. While at Boeing, Ray received numerous patents and awards for his inventions.

He made amazing contributions of love all over the world. He served in many countries including South Africa, Papua New Guinea, Sweden, Switzerland, Brazil, Cuba, Germany, England, Canada, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Czechia. He will be greatly missed and remembered by many.

Ray's memorial service will be May 4th, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Anacortes at 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Corner of Love, an amazing ministry to Nicaraguan refugees, working on the border in Costa Rica:

Met Ray in the mid 80's when he was kind enough to share his knowledge with a very ignorant young engineer from Martin Marietta. A luncheon meeting today prompted me to get in touch only to discover his passing. My deepest condolences to his family. I still remember taking him on a canoe ride on Morgan's river in Louisiana.

Ray was my pastor when we met at a grange near hinote“s corner. He helped me so much and I loved his personality.
May Ray rest in peace in the bosom of Christ. Love you man.
