RAYMOND WIBBENS Obituary

November 27, 1945-
February 28, 2021

Raymond Richard (Rick) Wibbens lost his valiant health battle February 28, 2021 at age 75 due to lung cancer, pneumonia and lingering covid complication.

Rick was born to Ray & Fern Wibbens on November 27, 1945 in Bellingham, WA. He grew up on Lake Samish, the oldest of five children with two brothers and two sisters. Fishing, hunting and helping friends and family were his joys in life.

Rick married Sue Norton in 1967 and they had two sons Ernie of Sedro Woolley and Scott of Jacksonville, Florida. Rick graduated from Bellingham High in 1963 and went on to serve four years in the US Navy as part of an underwater demolition team. In December of 1981 Rick married Judy Ferguson. With this marriage Rick also gained 3 daughters Donna, JudyAnne, and Sandra. Rick was a very proud grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rick worked in the drywall industry most of his adult life. Friends always said Rick would happily give the shirt off his back to help out someone in need. His heart matched his size, he will be missed by many but will live on in the memories we all share.

After retirement Rick and Judy found their new home in Otterville, MO. Rick joins his parents Ray & Fern and his brother John in Heaven.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy, sons Ernie (Candi) and Scott (Amy), granddaughter Ashley, great granddaughter Kensley, brother Allan (Tracy) Wibbens, sisters Rayna (Bob) Moe and Janet (Dave) Chamberlain, brother in law Vaughn Turner, sister in law Ginny (Dennis) Niesse and numerous much loved nieces, nephews, step daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

An outdoor Celebration of Life is being planned for early May in Washington State.

So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was too young and must have suffered for some time. My prayers go out to all the Wibbens family - my longtime friends and neighbors. My deepest condolences. Love, Pam
